¿Qué es una silla? Bajo esta pregunta, y con este objeto como protagonista, nace la exposición colectiva “Sillas”, realizada en el Centro Cultural Rafael Morales de Talavera de la Reina. Una muestra en la que 50 artistas intervinimos 50 sillas con diferentes técnicas y conceptos, y cuya venta fue a beneficio de la asociación COCEMFE.
What is a chair? This question, and the object itself, inspired the group exhibition “Sillas” (“Chairs”), held at the Rafael Morales Cultural Center in Talavera de la Reina. In this show, 50 artists intervened on 50 chairs using a range of techniques and concepts. All proceeds were donated to the COCEMFE association.
“Clase Media” es una obra que representa la dura actualidad social. En un mundo en el que existen peces grandes y pequeños, el sistema intenta hacernos creer que somos medianos para que, de este modo, no salgamos a denunciar la desigualdad salvaje.
Aspectos como la inflación, los salarios estancados, y el encarecimiento de bienes y servicios esenciales como la vivienda, la energía y los alimentos, marcan la transformación del colectivo con rentas más cercanas a la media, cuyo poder adquisitivo se ha visto reducido en torno a un 20% en los último 10 años.

“Middle Class” is a piece that speaks to today’s harsh social reality. In a world where there are big fish and small fish, the system wants us to believe we are somewhere in the middle, just so we won’t speak up against brutal inequality.
Factors like inflation, stagnant wages, and the rising cost of essential goods and services, such as housing, energy, and food, are redefining the group with incomes closer to the average. Over the past 10 years, their purchasing power has dropped by about 20%.
